The founder of The Eco Monkey, Patricia J. Maxwell, has more than 25 years of working experience in the field of integrated marketing and communication. She has effectively promoted scientists in all disciplines and worked for such esteemed institutions as the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Catalina Island Conservancy, Harvey Mudd College, and Claremont Graduate University. 

As a strategist, Patricia is able to see the big picture and put together effective plans that build synergy in the complex information space that garner engagement and result in action.

Founder

Patricia J Maxwell Robertson is an academic explorer. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in mass media when television and radio were still something people studied. She went on to complete a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing when wearing your hair big was still in fashion and the Seven Habits of Highly Successful People was on the New York Times Best Seller list. She is now nearing the end of a doctorate degree in media psychology. Her research focus is on social media use in social movements. 

During all of those years of study, she also worked in marketing and communication for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Catalina Island Conservancy, and in higher education. She earned awards from the Los Angeles Press Club, W2, CASE, Photography Magazine, and several humanitarian organizations. 

The combination of practice and theory gives her a unique perspective on creating and executing campaigns that produce measurable results for clients.
